What a difference a month makes! Last month, SAP delivered SAP Lumira v 1.25 and SAP Design Studio 1.5 at its annual SAPPHIRENOW event (see related article, State of the SAP BusinessObjects BI4 Upgrade, May 2015 SAPPHIRE Edition). This month, SAP released SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 Support Pack 6, the last support pack to be released in 2015 before the looming XI 3.1 and BI 4.0 support deadline. It’s also the first support pack in a long time to introduce some helpful new features, mostly in Web Intelligence but many throughout the suite. SAP also published an updated Lumira sizing guide that includes sizing details for the new BI 4.1 integration option.
With mainstream support of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0 ending on December 31, 2015, all roads lead to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1.
